The Nelson's Junior Programming for tennis, golf and swimming are delivered by the highest quality professional instructors using our world-class sports facilities, with the goal to provide the best and most positive learning experience, creating lasting memories for participants of all ages.
Junior Golf
Phase 1- SNAG Golf (Starting New At Golf)
- Ages 5-8
- Designed to introduce the game in a fun and easy way
- Very basic fundamentals and fun games
- Generic Rules of Golf knowledge and Etiquette
- (2) 50 min group lessons per week
- Pass Basic Rules and Etiquette test and Jack’s approval to Graduate
Phase 2- Team Golf Developmental Series
- Ages 7-13
- Beginner Level players
- Basic Fundamentals, Rules of Golf and Etiquette
- Competes in PGA Junior Golf League - Spring Season - $400 Fee (Optional)
- Structured Practices per week
- (1) 1.5 hour Practice- (1) 2 hour on course group practice each week.
- Break 45 on 9 holes in Play Day or NTPGA Event.
Phase 3- Junior Interclub Team
- Ages 8-13
- Competitive Atmosphere
- Structured Practice and Play
- Compete against other local clubs (Vaquero, Gleneagles, Royal Oaks, Lakewood, Northwood, Bent Tree)
- More detailed in Rules of Golf and Etiquette
- Competes in a Team Environment
- (2) 1.5 hour practice each week.
- Enrolled in NTPGA or US Kids Tournaments
- Break 50 from appropriate age tee markers.
Phase 4- Team Golf Champions Series
- Advanced Competition and Instruction
- Exposure to different playing formats
- Competes in a team and Individual environment
- Preparation for High School golf
- In Depth into the Rules of Golf
- (2) 1.5 hour Practice each week.
Junior Tennis
The Nelson's Junior Tennis Programs are geared to attract children of all ages and skill levels.
Our classes incorporate the USTA Quick Start method, which can accelerate a child's tennis skills, all while making it fun for them.
Classes and programs include:
- Junior After-school program during the school year
- Holiday tennis camps
- Outlets for competition
- Private lessons (can be schedule with tennis pro)
In these programs, your child will learn the following which will gear them for success in the sport of tennis:
- Racquet technique
- Strategy
- Court Positioning
- Conditioning
- Match Play / Competition experience
- Court etiquette
Our goal for these children is to introduce tennis to them at a young age, develop their hand-eye coordination, teach excellent fundamentals, and maximize their individual potential.
They will be able to learn lessons that will apply both on and off the court, have fun, and grow a lifelong love for the game.

Private Swim Instruction: Swim instruction can begin as early as 2 years of age through adults. Each lesson is highly individualized by our certified swim instructor to meet each students particular needs and abilities.
